David Munezero
Founder of RegenNow Farms | Regenerative Agriculture Practitioner | Systems Thinker | Social Entrepreneur
David Munezero is a regenerative agriculture practitioner and social entrepreneur committed to transforming how communities grow food, manage resources and respond to interconnected social and environmental challenges.
Born in Rwanda in 1991, David experienced conflict, displacement, poverty and hunger during his childhood. These experiences shaped his understanding that challenges such as food insecurity, poor nutrition, poverty and environmental degradation are deeply interconnected, and require solutions that address them together.
His journey led him to regenerative agriculture, urban farming and systems thinking. Between 2022 and 2025, he trained refugees and vulnerable urban residents in Uganda in regenerative and urban farming, helping communities establish gardens and develop practical skills for growing food with locally available resources.
In 2024, David founded RegenNow Farms, building on his earlier initiative, Happy Life Garden, to develop regenerative food systems that benefit people and nature. He also created the Regenerative Life Garden (RLG), an innovative, small-space gardening model that integrates vertical food production, composting and soil regeneration to support household nutrition, resource recovery and climate resilience.
Through his participation in the Regenerative Intelligence (RegenIntel) Fellowship in 2025, David deepened his understanding of systems thinking and multisolving: designing solutions that address several interconnected challenges at once.
Today, David leads RegenNow Farms in turning this approach into practical action. His work focuses on transforming available spaces, organic waste, water and human potential into productive gardens, nutritious food, healthier soils and livelihood opportunities.
His long-term vision is to inspire the adoption of regenerative food systems across Sub-Saharan Africa, demonstrating how households and communities can become active participants in food production, environmental restoration and climate action.
“I experienced interconnected problems. I began searching for interconnected solutions.”
David's guiding belief
Our problems are connected. Our solutions should be too.
Through RegenNow Farms, David is working to make this belief practical: one garden, one household and one community at a time.
